  • hot water - 3 Tbsp
  • sq - 3 oz
  • sifted 10x sugar - 2 c
  • slightly beaten egg - 1 item
  • soft butter or margarine - 6 Tbsp
  • vanilla or 1/4 tsp - 1 tsp

How to make chocolate satin frosting:

Blend sugar and hot water into chocolate. With spoon, beat half of egg into chocolate mixture. Beat in remaining 1/2 egg. Beat in butter, one tablespoon at a time. Blend in vanilla or rum extract. Frosting will be thin. Place bowl in ice water and beat until spreading consistency.
