  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • sweet milk
  • Add eggs

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add eggs. Blend well after each egg. Sift all dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk. Add vanilla and cook in a greased and floured pan at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.Frosting:1/2 c. shortening2 c.
