Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream sugar, shortening and margarine until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with creamed mixture.Pour into greased 10-inch tube pan lined with wax paper. Bake at 325° for 80 to 90 minutes or until done.
