  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • all-purpose flour - 3 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream sugar, shortening and margarine until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with creamed mixture.

Pour into greased 10-inch tube pan lined with wax paper. Bake at 325° for 80 to 90 minutes or until done.
