Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Mix butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Bake in tube pan at 325° for about 80 minutes. Important: Cool in pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
