- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1 c
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream shortening, margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Stir in flavoring. Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°.Chocolate Glaze:2 1/4 c. sifted confectioners sugar3 Tbsp. cocoa1/4 c. margarine3 to 4 Tbsp. milk Beat and frost cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
