Ingredients/Components

• butter - 1/2 lb
• shortening - 1/2 c
• sugar - 3 c
• eggs - 5 item
• self-rising flour - 3 c
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• cocoa - 1/2 c
• milk
• vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream butter and shortening with sugar; add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk; add vanilla. Bake in a tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
