- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk
- vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- cake flour - 3 c
- solid shortening - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together. Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk. Stir in vanilla extract and blend well. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Wrap in foil to keep.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
