Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour - 3 Tbsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- large can cream - 1 item
- egg yolks - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- soft butter - 2 Tbsp
- sugar - 3/4 c
- Meringue:2 egg whites
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
How to make chocolate pie:
Meringue:2 egg whites1/4 tsp. cream of tartar1 Tbsp. sugar Blend well and cook over medium heat until thickened. Pour into a baked pie shell. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff and glossy. Add sugar; mix well. Spoon onto pie filling. Bake at 350° until lightly browned.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
