  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • oleo - 1 Tbsp
  • pie crust, baked - 1 item

How to make chocolate pie:

Mix dry ingredients. Separate eggs and set aside the whites. Beat yolks well. Bring milk and oleo to boiling point; slowly add dry ingredients. Slowly add egg yolks; cook until thick, stirring often. Add vanilla. Pour into baked crust.

Beat egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar. Frost pie and brown top in oven.
