Chocolate pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- Pillsbury pie crust or make your own - 1 pkg
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- ???? vanilla - 1 item
- eggs - 3 item
- semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
- pecan halves
- reserved chocolate chips
- whipped cream - 1 item
How to make chocolate pecan pie:
Topping:2 Tbsp. reserved chocolate chips10 pecan halves whipped cream You will need a 9-inch pie pan.Heat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla and margarine; beat well. Reserve 2 tablespoons chocolate chips for topping; mix remaining and 1 1/2 cups pecans. Pour into pie crust already in pie plate. Bake 55 to 65 minutes, until deep golden brown and firm. Cover edges of crust with foil to prevent burning. Cool completely.
Decorate top with whipped cream puff. Melt reserved chocolate chips. Dip 10 pecan halves in chocolate; let cool. Place on puff on whipped cream.
