- sugar - 2/3 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/3 c
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- light corn syrup - 3/4 c
- pecan halves - 1 c
- chopped pecans optional - 1 c
- 9-inch pie crust - 1 item
How to make chocolate pecan pie:
Prepare pastry shell; set aside. Preheat oven to 325°. In a medium saucepan, low heat, melt butter. Add cocoa and stir until smooth. Remove from heat; cool. Stir in sugar, salt, slightly beaten eggs and corn syrup. Blend well. Stir in chopped nuts if desired and pour all into pie crust. Place pecan halves on top. Bake 40 minutes.
