Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
  • light corn syrup - 1 c
  • pecan halves
  • margarine, melted - 1/4 c
  • frozen deep dish pie crust - 1 item

How to make chocolate pecan pie:

Heat oven to 350°. Place cookie sheet in oven to preheat. In large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs; beat well. Place chocolate chips and pecans in bottom of pie crust. Pour syrup mixture over pecans. Place pie on heated cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 55 to 65 minutes or until deep golden brown and filling is set. Cool completely. Store in refrigerator.

Tip: Two frozen regular pie crusts can be used. Follow directions above except place half of chocolate chips and pecans in bottom of each pie crust. Pour 1 cup syrup mixture over pecans. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
