Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- boiling water
- margarine - 1/2 c
- oats - 1 c
How to make chocolate oatmeal cake:
Pour water over oats and let stand 5 to 10 minutes. Add sugar, eggs and margarine. Mix very well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in 350° oven 35 minutes.A buttercream frosting is very good on this cake.
