Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar
- chocolate chips
- egg - 1 item
- creme de menthe - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate mint squares:
Bottom layer: Heat 1/2 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of cocoa in saucepan. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir in graham cracker crumbs; mix well. Press into a 9 x 13-inch ungreased pan.Middle layer: Melt 1/2 cup butter; add creme de menthe. Beat with mixer, slowly adding remaining 3 cups of confectioners sugar. Mixture will be smooth. Spread over bottom layer. Chill for 30 minutes.
Top layer: Melt remaining 1/2 cup butter with 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips; spread over middle layer. Chill for 2 hours before slicing.
