Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • heavy cream - 1/2 c
  • light corn syrup - 2 Tbsp

How to make chocolate fudge sauce:

Measure cocoa, sugar, cream, syrup, butter and salt into a heavy saucepan, about 1 1/2-quart size. Stir until blended, then bring to a boil over moderate to high heat. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the vanilla.

To Reheat: To reheat conventionally, stir over low heat for 5 to 8 minutes until hot.

If using microwave oven, put sauce into glass pitcher or jar and reheat on High for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring about halfway through.
