Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- 4 oz - 4 sq
How to make chocolate crinkles:
Mix shortening, chocolate and granulated sugar. Blend in 1 egg at a time, until well mixed. Add vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Chill several hours or overnight.Drop teaspoonfuls of dough into confectioners sugar. Roll in sugar, shaping into balls. Place about 2-inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350°. Do not overbake! Makes 6 to 7 dozen.
