  • granulated sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • baking powder
  • chocolate chips - 1 c
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • all-purpose flour
  • large eggs - 4 item
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • unsweetened chocolate, melted - 4 oz

How to make chocolate crinkle cookies:

In a large mixing bowl, combine oil and unsweetened chocolate. Blend well with an electric mixer. Add granulated sugar and continue to mix. Add the eggs, one at a time, incorporating each egg into the mixture before adding the next. Blend in the flour and baking powder. Add the vanilla, nuts and chocolate chips. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350°. Using hands, roll the dough into golf size balls, then roll in confectioners sugar. Place 3-inches apart on a parchment paper-lined ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 17 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
