Ingredients/Components
- cherry pie filling - 21 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- sugar
- butter - 1/3 c
- whole milk - 1/3 c
- semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
How to make chocolate covered cherry cake:
Glaze:1 c. sugar1/3 c. butter1/3 c. whole milk1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips Blend first 5 ingredients with electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, then increase speed to medium for 2 more minutes. Pour into a prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a 350° oven.Combine all ingredients for glaze, except chips, in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add chips. Once melted, pour over warm cake. Cool cake for 20 minutes more before serving.
