Chocolate covered cherries

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• vanilla
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• butter - 1/2 c
• soda - 1/4 tsp
• cocoa - 1/2 c
• baking powder - 1/4 tsp
• chocolate chips
• egg - 1 item
• all-purpose flour
• cherry juice - 1 3
• sweetened condensed milk - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate covered cherries:

Topping For Cherries:1 c. chocolate chips1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk1 to 3 Tbsp. cherry juice Cream the butter and sugar. Add egg. Add dry ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet about the size of a walnut. Dry 48 maraschino cherries.

Topping: Heat milk and melt chips and milk together. Add some of the juice, if needed. This should be thick so it will not run when put in oven. (This makes a cap over the cherries.) Top each cookie with a cherry. Cap and cover the cherry with topping. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
