  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • cocoa - 1 Tbsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 2 c
  • boiling water
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • oleo - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • uncooked oatmeal - 1 c

How to make chocolate chip oatmeal cake:

Mix uncooked oatmeal in boiling water. Let stand 10 minutes, then add brown sugar, white sugar, oleo, eggs, flour, baking soda, cocoa and 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour into 11 x 7-inch greased pan. Sprinkle on top 1 cup chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
