  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 1 c
  • pkg - 12 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • chopped nuts optional - 1 c
  • margarine, softened - 2/3 c
  • brown sugar, packed - 1 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Mix sugar, shortening, margarine, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375° oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
