Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 2 tsp
• granulated sugar - 1 c
• pkg - 1 oz
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 2/3 c
• margarine, softened - 2/3 c
• brown sugar, packed - 1 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Mix thoroughly first six ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes at 375°.

Can substitute white chocolate chips or peanut butter chips for chocolate chips and can add nuts if desired.
