Chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- chopped walnuts optional - 1 c
- Toll House chocolate chips - 2 c
How to make chocolate chip cookies:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
