Chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 2/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- each pkg - 2 oz
How to make chocolate chip cookies:
Heat oven to 375°. Mix thoroughly the shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. (For a softer, rounder cookie, add 1/2 cup flour.)Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Makes 7 dozen.
