Chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- granulated sugar
- pkg - 2 oz
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- chopped walnuts - 2 c
- softened butter - 1 c
- rolled oats - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- solid vegetable shortening - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate chip cookies:
In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter, shortening and sugar on high speed until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Beat in vanilla and lemon juice. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Use a scant 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie.
