Chocolate chip cookies



Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- margarine or butter, softened - 1/3 c
- shortening - 1/3 c
- egg - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- all-purpose or whole wheat flour
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
How to make chocolate chip cookies:
Heat oven to 375°. Mix sugars, margarine, shortening, egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Yields 3 1/2 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
