  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour
  • brown sugar, firmly packed
  • butter-flavored Crisco - 3/4 c
  • large pecan pieces - 1 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Heat oven to 375°. Cream butter-flavor Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Blend until creamy. Blend in egg. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, gradually. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, 11 to 12 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to cooling rack (makes 3 dozen).
