Ingredients/Components

  • granulated sugar
  • pkg - 3 oz
  • vanilla extract
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 3/4 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 1 tsp
  • eggs, lightly beaten - 4 item

How to make chocolate chip cheesecake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 10-inch spring-form pan (or can use an 8-inch square casserole dish). Combine cake mix and oil in large bowl; mix well. Press mixture into bottom of pan. Bake 22 to 25 minutes or until set. Remove from oven. Increase oven temperature to 400°.

Place cream cheese in large bowl. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Toss 1/2 cup chocolate chips with flour. Fold into cream cheese mixture. Pour filling into crust. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top. Bake 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 250°. Bake 60 to 65 minutes (place in pan of water to prevent cheesecake from cracking while baking). Let cool completely. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
