Chocolate chip cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- boiling water
- plain flour
- oats - 1 c
- stick margarine, at room temperature - 1 item
How to make chocolate chip cake:
Combine water and oats. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add sugars and margarine to oatmeal and stir until margarine melts. Add eggs to creamed mixture; beat well. Add the rest of ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir in half a 12-ounce bag of chocolate chips.Pour into greased, floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Put the rest of the chips and 3/4 cup chopped nuts on top of batter. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Do not overbake.
