Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 tsp
- chopped dates - 1 c
- hot water - 1 c
- butter and 1/2 c - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate chip cake:
Combine dates, hot water and soda. Cream butter, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt and cocoa. Combine all ingredients and add 1/2 package (6 ounce) chocolate chips and 1/2 package (6-ounce) butterscotch bits. Pour into greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Sprinkle remaining chips and chopped nuts on top. Bake in oven at 350° for 30 minutes in 9 x 13 baking pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
