  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • Wesson oil - 1/2 c
  • Mix flour, sugar and salt in large bowl

How to make chocolate cake:

Bring first 4 ingredients to boil. Mix flour, sugar and salt in large bowl. Mix eggs, buttermilk and soda in small bowl. Mix altogether and pour in large flat pan and bake 30 minutes at 350° or until done when toothpick is inserted.Icing:6 Tbsp. milk1 stick oleo4 Tbsp. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar1 c. chopped nuts Bring milk, oleo, cocoa and vanilla to boil. Remove from heat and mix powdered sugar. Add nuts. Add a little more milk if icing is too thick.
