  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • baking soda
  • unsweetened chocolate - 1 sq
  • hot water - 1 c
  • sour milk 2 Tbsp - 1 c
  • oil omit 2 Tbsp - 1 c
  • cocoa or 2 bars unsweetened chocolate - 1/2 c
  • Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan in 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes

How to make chocolate cake:

Mix together until smooth. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan in 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Make frosting about 5 minutes before taking cake out.Frosting:1 c. sugar3 Tbsp. cornstarch1 c. hot water1 sq. unsweetened chocolate1/4 tsp. salt3 Tbsp. butter Cook sugar, cornstarch, water, chocolate and salt over medium heat until thick. Remove from stove. Add butter. Stir. Pour over hot cake.
