Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 7 Tbsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- buttermilk 1/2 c - 1/2 c
- Bring oleo, cocoa, oil and water to a rapid boil and pour over dry mixture
How to make chocolate cake:
Sift flour and sugar together in large bowl. Bring oleo, cocoa, oil and water to a rapid boil and pour over dry mixture. Mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and soda. Mix well; batter will be thin. Pour into greased pan (11 x 6-inch). Bake 20 minutes at 400°.Icing:1 stick oleo7 Tbsp. milk4 Tbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans Mix oleo, milk and cocoa and bring to a boil.
