- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cold water - 1 c
- oil - 6 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- sweet milk - 7 Tbsp
- white corn syrup - 1 tsp
- chocolate, chipped - 2 sq
How to make chocolate cake:
Chocolate Icing:1 1/2 c. sugar7 Tbsp. sweet milk2 sq. chocolate, chipped2 Tbsp. butter2 Tbsp. oil1 tsp. white corn syrup1 tsp. vanilla Use 8 or 9-inch square pan or 9 x 12-inch pan. In sifter, measure flour, sugar, salt, soda and cocoa. Sift all together in pan you are going to bake cake. Make 3 holes with spoon. In one put 1 teaspoon vanilla, another 1 tablespoon vinegar and third, 6 tablespoons oil. Pour over all 1 cup cold water and stir with fork. Bake about 25 or 30 minutes at 350°.Icing: Bring slowly to rolling boil; boil 1 minute. Beat until of consistency to spread on cake.
