Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- butter
- baking powder
- shortening - 2/3 c
- powdered sugar
- sifted flour
- unsweetened chocolate - 4 sq
- warm water - 3 Tbsp
How to make chocolate brownies:
Frosting:1 1/2 Tbsp. butter3 Tbsp. warm water1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate1 1/2 c. powdered sugar Preheat oven to 350°. Melt chocolate squares and shortening over hot oats. Beat in 4 eggs and sugar. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix in nuts and spread in a well-greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool slightly and frost.Frosting: Melt chocolate over hot water with butter. Blend in water and add powdered sugar. Spread on brownies.
