  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • butter
  • baking powder
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • powdered sugar
  • sifted flour
  • unsweetened chocolate - 4 sq
  • warm water - 3 Tbsp

How to make chocolate brownies:

Frosting:1 1/2 Tbsp. butter3 Tbsp. warm water1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate1 1/2 c. powdered sugar Preheat oven to 350°. Melt chocolate squares and shortening over hot oats. Beat in 4 eggs and sugar. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix in nuts and spread in a well-greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool slightly and frost.

Frosting: Melt chocolate over hot water with butter. Blend in water and add powdered sugar. Spread on brownies.
