Chinese pepper steak
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 1
- dash of salt - 1 item
- ground ginger - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- green onions, sliced - 4 item
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- can water chestnuts, sliced and drained - 1 item
- canola oil - 1/4 c
- green peppers, sliced - 3 item
- large onions, sliced - 2 item
- can beef bouillon - 1 item
- stir-fry sirloin
How to make chinese pepper steak:
Heat oil in skillet. Add garlic, salt, ginger and pepper. Saute until garlic is golden. Add steak to this. Brown lightly. Remove meat. Add green peppers and onions. Cook approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Return beef to skillet. Add soy sauce, sugar, bouillon and water chestnuts. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add to skillet along with green onions. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
