  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2/3 c
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • water
  • all-purpose flour
  • cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • soy sauce - 1 tsp
  • onion - 1/4 c
  • bean sprouts - 1/2 c
  • cooked shrimp - 1/4 c
  • celery - 1/4 c
  • cooked pork - 1/2 c
  • drained water chestnuts - 1/4 c

How to make chinese egg rolls:

Finely chop first 5 ingredients. Drain bean sprouts. Combine chopped ingredients, bean sprouts and the next 5 ingredients in a bowl. Chill. Prepare batter for egg rolls. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, cornstarch and salt. Combine 2 beaten eggs and water; gradually blend into dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Reserve 1/2 cup batter for sealing egg rolls. Pour about 2 tablespoons batter into crepe pan.
