Ingredients/Components
- toasted slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- grated onion - 1 Tbsp
- diced celery - 1 c
- cooked chicken, diced - 2 c
- cooked rice - 1 c
- diced mushrooms - 1 c
- can water chestnuts, diced - 1 oz
- melted oleo or butter
- corn flakes, crumbled
How to make chinese chicken casserole:
Topping:1/4 c. melted oleo or butter1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds1 1/2 c. corn flakes, crumbled Combine mayonnaise, onion, lemon juice, soup, salt and pepper for the dressing. Mix dressing with rest of the ingredients, except topping. Pour into casserole dish.Topping: Mix corn flakes, almonds and butter together; spread over top of casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25 minutes.
