Ingredients/Components

  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • ground beef
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • can water - 1 item
  • can Chinese noodles - 1 item
  • small can water chestnuts - 1 item
  • celery - 1 c
  • can bean sprouts - 1 item
  • brown rice - 1/2 c
  • large onion - 1 item

How to make chinese casserole:

Saute onion and celery and brown ground beef. Add rest of ingredients except Chinese noodles. Turn into 2 1/2-quart casserole or 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, covered. Remove and cover with Chinese noodles; bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes. This can be made a day ahead. Also freezes well.

Frozen peas are also a good addition, if desired.
