  • head cabbage, chopped - 1/2 item
  • green onions, chopped - 3 item
  • slivered almonds - 1 size
  • chicken Top Ramen noodles save pkg - 1 pkg
  • Brown sesame seeds, almonds and noodles in 350° oven
  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chicken flavoring from noodles - 1 pkg
  • vinegar - 3 Tbsp

How to make chinese cabbage salad:

Crush noodles (with rolling pin). Brown sesame seeds, almonds and noodles in 350° oven. Stir often with wooden spoon; cool. Mix onions with cabbage. Add noodle mixture to salad just before serving.DRESSING:1/2 c. oil1/4 c. sugar1/2 tsp. salt1 pkg. chicken flavoring (from noodles)3 Tbsp. vinegar Add 1 Tbsp. vinegar to sugar, salt and chicken flavoring. Whip with fork. Add 2 Tbsp. vinegar and oil; mix. Refrigerate until needed. Add dressing to salad just before serving. Note: Everything can be prepared day before and mixed just prior to serving.
