Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- oil
- toasted slivered almonds - 1 pkg
- toasted sesame seed - 4 Tbsp
- sesame oil - 1/3 c
- white vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- to 5 green onions, chopped - 4 item
- can shrimp, drained - 1 item
- green peppers optional - 1 item
- head green cabbage, thinly sliced - 1/2 item
- head red cabbage, thinly sliced 1/8-inch - 1/2 item
- oriental not chicken, port, etc - 1 2
- fish cake optional - 1 item
- Top Ramen flavoring taste: dressing be strong - 2 pkg
How to make chinese cabbage salad:
Dressing:1/3 c. oil1/3 c. sesame oil2 Tbsp. sugar3 Tbsp. white vinegar2 pkg. Top Ramen flavoring (taste: dressing be strong) To Make Ahead: Mix cabbage; sprinkle green onions on top. Refrigerate. Mix dressing; refrigerate. Coarsely crumble dry noodles (i.e. do not cook). Toast almonds and sesame seed (toast; do not burn).Add dressing 1 hour ahead; if added earlier, salad will not be as crunchy and fresh tasting if added later, dressing will not "settle into" the other ingredients.
