Chinese baked chicken
Ingredients/Components
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- soy sauce* - 1/4 c
- frying chicken cut up - 1 item
- Five spice - 3/4 tsp
- small can pineapple chunks with syrup - 1 item
- medium bell pepper sliced - 1 item
- bunch green onions or 1 medium onion sliced - 1 item
- Soy Sauce:*1 bottle La Choy soy sauce
- jar La Choy brown sauce - 1 item
How to make chinese baked chicken:
Soy Sauce:*1 bottle La Choy soy sauce1 jar La Choy brown sauce Place chicken in bowl. Sprinkle soy sauce, Five spice, salt and pepper over chicken. Mix well to coat evenly. Place in shallow baking dish. Pour pineapple chunks and juice evenly over chicken. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Baste occasionally. Add onions and peppers during the last few minutes of baking time. Baste a last time coating vegetables.Note: Onions and peppers can be microwaved for a couple of minutes and tossed on at last minute to be crisp and green. Five spice can be found in Chinese food section in most supermarkets.
