Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- tomato ketchup - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- cans red kidney beans - 2 oz
How to make chilly day chili:
In large pan, saute onions and green pepper in 2 tablespoons oil. Add ground beef and cook until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Drain. Stir in tomatoes (cut up), tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring often. Add partially drained red kidney beans. Simmer 15 minutes longer.
