Chili with rice
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 15 oz
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cooked rice - 2 c
- small green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- chili seasoning mix - 1 pkg
- can kidney beans, do not drain - 1 item
How to make chili with rice:
Brown meat, adding chopped green pepper and seasoning mix in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in water, tomato sauce and beans. Reduce heat to slightly boiling and cook 10 to 15 minutes. Add corn and cooked rice. Cook 10 more minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese, chopped onion, sour cream and salsa or eat plain with crackers.
