- margarine - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- garlic - 1 tsp
- cans chili beans - 2 item
- whole cumin - 2 item
- large round steak - 1 item
- cans whole or stewed tomatoes - 2 item
- to 2 cans green chilies Ortega - 1 item
- bottle mild or hot salsa - 1 item
How to make chili verde:
Saut?© meat and 1 chopped onion with meat. Add rest of ingredients, except cheese. Simmer 2 hours or longer. Can cook all day in crock-pot. Serve with grated cheese sprinkled on top. Good with Fritos lite chips.Recipe categories: Main dish, Pork, Chili.
