Chili sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- white vinegar - 3/4 c
- can whole tomatoes, diced - 1 oz
- large green sweet pepper, seeded and diced - 1 item
- jalapeno peppers seeds and all, diced - 3 item
How to make chili sauce:
Mix all in large pot. Boil slowly for about 30 minutes, or until onions are cooked (transparent). If you do not have jalapeno peppers, use 3 long red peppers or 1/4 teaspoon red pepper. Pour while hot into sterilized jars and seal. Yields 2 to 3 pints. Use on cold cuts and scrambled eggs.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
