Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar
- allspice - 1 tsp
- chopped onions - 2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- chopped sweet red pepper - 1 c
- white mustard seed - 1 Tbsp
- peeled, chopped tomatoes - 4 qt
- small hot red pepper - 1 item
How to make chili sauce:
Combine the vegetables, salt and sugar and cook until mixture begins to thicken, then add the vinegar and spices in a bag. Cook until mixture becomes a thick sauce. Pour into hot jars and seal immediately. Drain juice from vegetables before adding vinegar. This will shorten the cooking time.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
