Chili rellenos
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- flour
- Cheddar cheese, shredded - 6 oz
- Monterey Jack cheese, shredded - 12 oz
- can Old El Paso green chilli peppers - 1 item
How to make chili rellenos:
Grease a 7 x 11-inch pan. Put in a layer of shredded cheese, then a layer of peppers cut in strips or chopped, then cheese and peppers and a layer of cheese on top. Beat eggs; add flour, milk and a pinch of salt. Pour over cheese layers. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes. Let stand 5 to 8 minutes; cut in small squares. Serve on Ritz crackers.Note: A double batch will fit in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
