Ingredients/Components
- water - 3/4 c
- cider vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- corn oil - 1 Tbsp
- chopped tomatoes - 2 c
- minced garlic - 1 2
- green pepper - 1 item
- cumin - 1 tsp
- cans kidney beans - 2 item
How to make chili con carne:
Heat oil in large skillet. Add onion and green pepper. Cook until onion is translucent. Add meat and brown. Pour off all fat. Add beans and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally; remove bay leaf.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Chili.
