Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- chopped green pepper - 3/4 c
- ground beef
- can kidney beans, drained - 16 oz
- canned tomatoes - 1 qt
How to make chili beans:
Cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until meat is lightly browned and vegetables are tender. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Serve with cornbread or crackers.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, One Dish meal.
